Flo's bathroom was also carpeted. The toilet leaked from the flush mechanism and made constant noise. The tub was not
functional at all. I turned the shower on in there once and then when I went downstairs the water was dripping through the
crystal chandelier in the entry foyer. Enough of that ! The vanity in this bathroom was old and outdated. The contractor
tore it out so fast I did not have time to take before pictures.
The tub in there was of cast iron and weighed some 500 pounds. Since there are only two guys doing the work there was
no way they could get that tub downstairs. So they brought a sledgehammer in and beat the daylights out of it till it broke
into pieces then hauled off the rubbish. I wish I'd been able to take a few whacks at it, and I know Bart would have liked
it too had he not been at camp at the time.

Here is where the tub will go. Actually, the new tub is in place but that is all.
The plumbing has to be re routed because it was offset somewhat due to the position of the former tub.

More of the same area. This is a tiny bathroom but Flo is nearly 11 and will appreciate
being able to actually use her own bathroom. She has been using our bathroom which is just as bad as the others but at least
the tub works.

This is where the toilet and sink will go. Since the space is so tiny we got an
itty bitty white pedestal sink instead of a vanity so it will make the room look larger. For storage we bought this awesome
fancy mirrored medicine cabinet that will be recessed into the wall above the sink. It was a real splurge to buy that but
the tile was not that expensive so I wanted to splurge somewhere. Hopefully by the time she gets back from camp the room will
at least be ready for the tile to be installed.

The tile is a cobalt blue. Flo wanted a translucent coke bottle green type tile
but it was so cost prohibitive for an 11 year old's bathroom that Alan said "No." This tile, though pretty, was reasonably
priced, and I splurged a bit on the fixtures.

This is the opposite end of the tub area. We chose the fish tiles to dress it up
a bit, and to buffer the fact that we didn't get what Flo herself chose. We picked all this out while she was at camp so by
the time she got home the tile was already delivered.

The view looking in the door. It is a very tiny bathroom so we tried to make
the most of it. Since the floor space is so small we could splurge on nice marble for the floor. No matter how fine
quality a tile you choose, it just isn't going to cost that much because it is such a small space.

One thing we splurged on was the mirror/medicine cabinet. It is mirrored inside
as well, with a round magnifying mirror inserted at Flo's eye level on the swinging portion of the door. We got a very
tiny sink to make the room look bigger, so there had to be storage somewhere. The medicine cabinet is recessed into the wall.
It works really well for this room.
